Following the screening, stay for a Q&A with Patrick Scully and hear directly about the experiences and stories behind the work.

Banff Preview Evening with Mikah Meyer
We are excited to welcome Mikah Meyer for short adventure film screenings and a presentation. Mikah is a National Park Expert, endurance athlete, filmmaker, and LGBTQ+ advocate. Meyer will share stories from his Banff Film Festival journey and screen a selection of short films created through his Banff experiences, including “The Banff MONSTER” – produced during the 2025 Banff Adventure Filmmaker Workshop – and a sneak-peak teaser from his upcoming film, “Miss Adventure.” The program will also feature a special screening of “Canyon Chorus,” Meyer’s award-winning short documentary that was an official selection of the 2024-2025 Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour. Part adventure tale and part coming-out story, the film follows Meyer, his mentor, and a group of friends as they raft through Utah’s stunning Desolation Canyon, exploring identity, belonging and the power of wild places.
Pride Youth After Party
Join us for a fun, family friendly evening at Old School Arcade. This event is designed for youth who are comfortable exploring the arcade independently, with plenty of options to play, hang out, and connect.
Your $15 ticket includes full access to the arcade, pizza, a sweet treat, a drink, and 30 minutes of axe throwing (if applicable). Anyone participating in axe throwing must be 18 or have someone 18 or older on site to sign a waiver.
We’ll also have board games, a chill hangout space, and outdoor games if the weather cooperates.

Pride Open Mic Night
Join us for a Pride Open Mic Night at Griot Arts on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 6:30 - 8:30pm.
This is an open and welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ creators to step up to the mic and share their stories, poetry, art, and more. Whether you’re performing or just coming to listen, you will in community, celebrating queer voices.
Come spend a chill evening with Rochester Pride and Griot Arts as we uplift and honor the creativity, experience and expressions of our LGBTQIA+ community.

Back for another year of pride fitness classes to celebrate all that our bodies are capable and our community’s strength!
Free event as always, please come as you are to break a sweat with us!
Wear breathable clothing, appropriate workout shoes, and bring your water bottle.
If you own a workout mat, you’re encouraged to bring it also!
This is a moderate to high intensity circuit class.
Expect multiple body weight exercises.
You’re encouraged to rep at a pace that feels best to you and take water/ rest breaks as needed.

Rainbow Photo Walk
Join us for a Rainbow Photo Walk at Quarry Hill
We’ll meet at the Quarry Hill Nature Center before heading out into the park. Folks can stay together as a group or split into smaller groups and explore at their own pace.
During the walk, we’ll look for colors of the rainbow in nature by capturing photos that represent red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. Spend about 45 minutes hiking, observing, and taking pictures along the way.
Afterward, we’ll return to the nature center to share what we found, swap stories, and celebrate the beauty of nature through our different perspectives. We’ll also have a way for you to submit your photos so they can be shared from the walk.
This event is family and dog friendly, and both are encouraged. Bring your loved ones, whether they walk on two legs or four, and enjoy a relaxed, creative time outdoors.
Beers for Queers
An informal weekly gathering for LGBTQ+ friends and allies, with alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages, intended as a safe place for LGBTQ+ to just be their authentic selves! The group meets every Tuesday at 6:30pm! Bring food, snacks, board games, hobbies, or just yourself to enjoy and surround yourself with fellow queers in our community. Come celebrate where you’re celebrated!

What is Queer Art Nite? Queer Art Nite is a space for queer artists to create art, meet other LGBTQ+ people, and feel more connected to our community. Rochester is lacking in queer-specific spaces, so creating this space on the second Tuesday of every month is very important to us.
What should I bring? Bring whatever project you are currently working on, or supplies to start something new! Our attendees work on everything from crochet, digital illustrations, painting, collaging. We will also have paints and canvases available for $11.
